LIGHTING PROJECT

In 2022, while based in South London, Bess extended her design practice into the realm of lighting exploring the emotional and cultural significance of light within Scandinavian traditions. The lamps blend digital design techniques with hand-dyed textiles, resulting in pieces that are both innovative and artisanal.

By working with recycled and repurposed materials, including ocean plastic, Bess integrates environmental responsibility into the making process, creating lighting objects that are as thoughtful in their production as they are in their presence.
